What it tests
- Take away the two things a brute force needs — a password and root — from an SSH daemon
- Configure a default-deny firewall and be able to name why every open port is open
- Read an auth log well enough to tell the internet's background noise from a determined attacker
- Configure fail2ban, including the recidive jail that removes the ones who keep coming back
- Make patching both automatic and actually applied, with a reboot window rather than a fix left on disk
- Keep a reverse proxy from leaking its origin, and a secrets file out of the most-scanned path on the internet
- Judge a backup by whether it has been restored, and an alert by whether it is rare and worth acting on
