Lesson 2 of 2 in The Shell Is Real
Now You
A real hands-on challenge, graded by what you do — not by an answer you type.

This is the furthest a lesson goes: a challenge. There is a goal, a real terminal, and no script. You finish it by doing it — and it is checked by effect, so any command that reaches the goal counts. This is what a lab feels like, in miniature.
Take care
Nothing here can hurt anything. The sandbox is fictional and resets itself — experiment freely, break things, try the wrong command first. That is the point of a safe place to practise.
A flag is hidden in one of the files in your home directory. Find it and print it. It looks like EQ{...}.
It actually watched what I ran and knew when I got there. It did not just check a typed answer.
Graded by effect. cat .hidden, grep EQ *, ls -a then read it — all different routes, all correct, because all of them printed the flag. There is rarely one right way, and the platform does not pretend there is.

That is the shell. Real, safe, and graded by what you do. The last chapter is about what all of this earns you.
